Manifesting Success: Make Your Own Card Display

I am often searching thrift stores for innovative and unique product displays for my booth and for the numerous retail locations that sell my items.  I look for displays that are interesting and complement my cards.  Here are the very simple instructions to make a card display for notecards or postcards...

I found this desk organizer at my favorite thrift store in San Francisco...the Goodwill on Mission and Van Ness.  It is from Target and is heavy wood.  However, the compartments are way too deep, making it difficult to see the cards.  I needed to alter it slightly to make my art visible and easy to browse through.

I cut pieces of thick packing foam and tucked them securely into each compartment, keeping them raised to provide more height.  I made each row slightly higher then the one in front, giving more view of the back rows.

I even kept a front section for my business cards, raising the foam almost to the top so they are easy to reach.

Finally, I added my signs and company branding and...Voila!  A professional looking display for less than $5.00!

Here are some more of my DIY projects...

I'm getting ready for my first big Art Festival of the season...the Summer Arts and Music Festival at Benbow Lake, CA the first weekend in June.  This was my first festival ever last year, so I feel confident coming into it the second time around with a year's worth of business and marketing knowledge and skills which will hopefully make for a very successful market.  Plus, I have some new and exciting display ideas, switching up the drawers and layout to create a more inviting booth space.  I have also added a fair amount of brand new original paintings including a collection of small paintings for the frugal collector.  The Cara Mia Bella studio has been a very busy place!

See you all next Friday with some pictures of my Booth Designs and Displays...
and I look forward to seeing some of you at the festival!
