Crafting a Holiday Line

I thought I'd share some scenes from my latest photo shoot featuring some of my newest handmade creations, my Bookmark and Holiday Gift Tag Collection...

The idea came to me to make functional, eco-friendly art in the form of gift tags and bookmarks.  Within a matter of moments, I found myself cutting and hole punching.  The next day, I bought the beads.

The entire collection is handmade, so I've been getting crafty the old-fashioned way--with scissors and rulers and stencils.

I upcycled some of my cards, which were printed on heavy-duty 130# recycled paper.

I chose the finest gold cord (actually remnants from my wedding) and discovered the charming little beads at the local bead shop.

Being a novice photographer using a point and shoot camera, I am frequently changing my product photos whenever I learn a new tip or trick to give my shots a professional edge.

For this  shoot, my goal was to lighten the background so as to emphasize the products more.

I had such a fun time getting crafty for my Holiday Line!
